Some in Jamaica labelled the October poll conducted by CDS in the St Mary South Eastern constituency ahead of a hotly contested by-election as a “fake poll”. But the official results showed the forecast was within a percentage point of the final result.
Reporting after the October 30 election, the Jamaica Observer remarked, “The result was not only predictable, but it also emerged as polled by Trinidadian Derek Ramsamooj and his team, the only pollster who got it right leading up to our general election last year.”
